Poltu Quatu Marina dell’Orso is located along the North-East coast of Sardinia, on the “Costa Smeralda”. Easily reachable from anywhere in the Mediterranean, the Marina is the ideal base for those who want to visit the Archipelago of La Maddalena The island of Caprera can actually be seen from Poltu Quatu, and la Maddalena, Santa Maria, Spargi, Budelli, Razzoli, Lavezzi, Cavallo and Corsica are all close by. Poltu Quatu,”Hidden Port” in Sardinian dialect, was designed to resemble an ancient fishing village built around the traditional circular square, with charming narrow alleyways and stone buildings. It was founded in 1987 with the intention of creating a safe harbour and allow those who love the sea, to navigate it without giving up the finer pleasures of life.The Marina dell'Orso has received the Blue Flag 2012, a recognition that aims to reward the validity of the services offered to the members and sailors, and the proper placement of the port structure into the surrounding environment, services and security measures, environmental education.
