Seatec is the only Italian fair dedicated to companies that deal with provisioning for boating and shipbuilding: a date eagerly awaited by professionals which takes place on 6, 7 and 8th April in Carrara.

Now in its 14th year, Seatec is the International Exhibition of technology subcontracting and design for boats, yachts and ships, and showcases the best the industry has to offer in terms of components, mechanics, engines and propulsion systems, electronics and home automation, materials, third party works, planning and design, sailing equipment and services.

The proximity to the production areas that represent the excellence in the construction of super-yacht makes Seatec the ideal place for a trade show that highlights the quality of Made in Italy; it is held in the Marina di Carrara, geographically halfway between Livorno and Genoa, close to Viareggio and Pisa, headquarters of the most prestigious shipyards and the world’s leading super yacht production.

Visitors to Seatec are exclusively professionals: owners and technical staff from boatyards and shipyards, brokers, consultants, owners, importers and distributors of raw materials, equipment and finished products. Not to mention the issue of environmental sustainability, with the opportunity for exhibitors to report based on green criteria products / services. The fair is held in conjunction with Compotec, an international exhibition dedicated to composite materials and related technologies.

During the three days of the event, there are conferences ranging from security, the use of materials, analysis of technological innovations, design, engineering etc.

Seatec also hosts the prestigious awards to exhibitors and non:

• MYDA the Millennium Yacht Design Award presents new projects of professional designers and newcomers;
• Qualitec Technology and Qualitec Design Awards competitions reserved for Exhibitors that reward technological innovation and items of furniture that best contribute to the needs of life on board.

In this edition there is also an area dedicated to accessories and components of the lands bordering the Mediterranean, thanks to Medvillage project.

Also in 2016, the fair will host the 6th edition of YARE -Yacht After Sales & Refit Experience - the event dedicated to the refit, that is becoming increasingly strategic for the whole industry. The YARE exhibitors are companies that deal with service agencies including yacht brokers, managers, crew, flag registers, groups of re-fitters, consultants etc. The protagonists of YARE during the week of events held between Viareggio and Marina di Carrara are the captains of the big boats invited to meet the participating companies.

In addition to the exhibition time, through the initiative of foreign operators creates the opportunity for B2B meetings with companies present at the fair, making it a precious opportunity to do business and form new trade relations. Participation in the B2B meetings organised by Seatec Compotec is free and reserved for exhibitors. The meetings between operators and companies are organised and supported by the Agency for the promotion and internationalisation of Italian companies, ICE.
