In the province of Messina, on the Tyrrhenian coast in front of the Aeolian islands, the Marina di Sant’Agata di Militello makes an excellent place to berth before a sailing tour of Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Filicudi and Alicudi. With a concentration of mainly tourist and commercial vocations for the Nebrodi area, Sant’Agata Militello is also a country rich in history, culture, famous people, ancient traditions, historic buildings and really striking festivals.
The Marina, is located to the west of the village of S. Agata di Militello and is located in a strategic position, just 2 km from the exit for Sant’Agata Militello along the highway Palermo-Messina, 165 km from Palermo airport, and 205 km from Catania, making it an ideal sailing solution for family, friends and customers without forcing long and expensive voyages. The Marina, in fact, also offers shuttle service to and from airports at reasonable prices. The train station is also just 1.5 km with all trains stopping there, from regional to Intercity to and from the north of Italy.
Protected by a very long outer breakwater that is almost 7 metres high, access is easy and is safe in all weather conditions. The Marina can accommodate up to 80 boats, and the depth is always between 4 and 7 metres. Mooring is mainly from the latest generation floating pontoons secured in concrete and with continuous flotation providing maximum stability and security.
The floating docks are equipped with numerous service points for the water and electricity supply, 16A-32A-63A single-phase and three-phase and the entire Marina is covered with a free WIFI service.
Particular care has gone into the moorings and they have been made using only galvanised chains in the underwater section, limiting the use of the high tenacity polyester only for the section above water. The solution adopted, which distinguishes the marina from others, ensures an extraordinary damping effect due to the length of the chain and minimises the mooring lines becoming damaged due to contact with the bulbs, keels and / or propellers.
